Wedding season has began, yay!! To start it off, I wanted to share Betsy & Tony’s Nashville engagement pictures from their photographer, Teasley Photography
{The Proposal}
The fancy plans we made for this night fell through, so we just went out for sushi. We came back to the apartment for what Betsy thought was a typical relaxing evening. Tony suggested we get out the leftover sparklers from the 4th of July and spend a few minutes outside enjoying the August evening. Betsy was happy to oblige as sparklers are her favorite summer passtime!
With sparklers lit, Tony began to tell Betsy all the things he loves about her. Betsy smiled and stared at her sparkler until she noticed Tony down on one knee. This is it!
Tony proudly presented Betsy with the most thoughtful ring – a diamond surrounded by Betsy’s birthstone (topaz) on the left and Tony’s birthstone (garnet) on the right! Tony popped the question, Betsy said yes, and the engagement was sealed with a kiss under the bright August moon.
Excited for their brunch wedding in May!!

I get this question a lot of times during the planning process, “Why do I need a wedding planner, the coordinator at the venue is helping me”? I personally love educating brides, and I think they all should know the difference between an independent wedding planner & a venue coordinator.
An independent wedding planner works for their client, the bride & groom. They will assist & work along with all the vendors participating with your wedding, plus with family & friends. They will listen to your needs & desires, in order to make them happen on your wedding day. The wedding planner will be there with you from the day you book them through the entire planning process, (depending on the services you book) as well as wedding day. The wedding planner will verify your cake has arrived, pack your wedding gifts at the end of the night.
A venue coordinator works for the venue. They facilitate the needs of the venue. They do not work for the bride & groom & will not help you with details or logistic outside of the venue. Now they may offer help or recommendations, but ultimately they will not assist you through the planning process of booking those vendors.
Having a venue coordinator doesn’t mean that your wedding details will run as smoothly as possible. As I suggest to very bride, no matter what your budget is, book a wedding planner!
